Exhausted

Thursday:  wake up at 3:15 am, pick up my friend, and drive (15 hours!) to Silver Needle in Tulsa, OK (hi ladies!) and then to Kansas City for Market…barely in time for sample spree…

Friday:  ALL DAY at market…

Saturday:  Market in the morning, then drive 1 hour east to Warrensburg, MO to visit my sister and attend my niece’s 2nd birthday party!

Sunday:  wake up at 3:30, leave at 4:00 and drive 13.5 hours back to Houston…

I’m exhausted!!!

I’ll be out for a few days…off to Kansas City!  Home of good BBQ, the Royals, my sister, niece, and brand new nephew!…and this weekend…the Spring Quilt Festival!

If there is anything that you want me to see, take pictures of, bring back, etc…feel free to shout it out!

I’ll see y’all when I get back!

(p.s.  I’m headed there with my BFF Tanya…who is a pattern designer and fashion design teacher.  I’m pretty sure *wink* that there will be a giveaway after market…related to her patterns…stay tuned!)

(p.p.s.  The above picture has nothing to do with market, really…well other than the fact that many of those fat quarter bundles have been purchased at previous markets…and what do you see?  oh yes…bundles…not projects…hmmmm…  perhaps I should steer clear of sample spree!)

Challenge Met

Well…woo.  To the hoo.

I met my challenge…and then some!

I set a goal of making 2 blocks this week in my BOM, and I finished 3 blocks!

I completed blocks 5, 6, and 7 last week…and I’m going to do my best to complete another 2 blocks this week also.

I am now officially a sock knitter.

one thing…one week…challenge

Phew…it’s been a feewwwww weeks, peeps…sorry ‘bout that.

Amy at Amy’s Creative Side hosts the One Thing…One Week Challenge, and I think that this week I’m finally up for it!  I’m DONE with my commission quilts (more on that later), so now I can work on MY stuff again!

I’m going to tackle this monstrosity…

My stack of undone blocks from the Fat Quarter Shop 2011 BOM.  My goal this week is to complete 2 blocks.  Gotta start slow…
