New projects

For the past few weeks I've been working on a secret project. Unfortunately I still can't reveal it!

Once I got that done, I was able to finish up my BOM block 1.

A few days ago, Oh Fransson Hyacinth Quilt Designs posted a pic of a pillow that she designed fom the cover of the May Martha Stewart Living. I too had loved this pillow, & set out to create it as well. Here's my version:
edited to add: OK...big oops/egg on the face here :( I saw this not on Oh Fransson!, but rather on Hyacinth Quilt Designs blog...here. Today, she actually has posted her tutorial for the pillow here. Her dimensions are a bit different than mine. Her colored (my blue, her red) strips are 2"...mine are 2.5". Other than that...very close! Please forgive the big oops! :)

Of course it's still a flimsy, but it won't be for long!

My next project is a Fig Tree one from the Summer 2010 Quilts and More.

Can't wait to get this one going!

That pillow front is so pretty!

I need to get my BOM made... maybe before the next block arrives??

Your BOM block is gorgeous - those Christmas fabrics are so cute. Your pillow 'flimsy' is sweet too. Nice to see you back, hope the bugs from a while back are all gone now.

Your BOM looks great! It is going to be such a fun quilt. Great job on the pillow front, too. Love love love that Fig Tree quilt--but then, I love all things Fig Tree. ;) Can't wait to see some WIP pics!

I love all your projects! Looking forward to watching that BOM grow -- I wanted to join but knew I wouldn't make it. Now I'll know what it looks like!

That BOM looks like it's going to be a lot of fun to put together each month. Your first block looks great and so does your pillow!

Love your Fig Tree quilt too - I've really fallen in love with their patterns and fabric too! Can't wait to see your start!

I'm enjoying my time with my Fig Tree fabrics, I'm sure you will too. That quilt is lovely and should go fast.

I keep seeing that adorable FQS BOM block, it's adorable, if the second one is as cute I may have to sign up!

Wishing you and your family a safe, happy, and healthy 4th of July weekend.

Hi Diane! Love your projects! Wish Ben and I could see you all...I've never had a chance to meet your boys. You know it's been almost five years since I've seen you, and the last time I did you were pregnant. Hope everything is going great! I love love love your sewing room!!!
