a couple finishes

Yesterday I finished two things…one big one small.

The first is my February Schnibbles.  The pattern is Sunday Best.  I used Mill House Inn by Joanna Figueroa.  I’ve started calling this quilt Mill House Best.mill house best finishedI took this picture outside as the sun was going down, so that’s why the colors look a bit off.

I am extra proud of this quilt, for many reasons.  One, it almost didn’t get finished.  It sort of became a thorn in my side last month, and sometimes when that happens, I put things away and they never get finished.  So, I’m proud of myself for actually finishing it.  Two, it is the first thing that I’ve made for MYSELF using Fig Tree fabrics.  I’m such a figgy groupie, and I’ve got fabrics from several lines, but this is the first one that I get to keep.  I’ll always have a special place in my heart for fig tree, as the Patisserie line was what got me into quilting last year.  Now there’s no turning back!

The second thing that I finished yesterday was the 2nd block for the Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along.moose block2Again, please excuse the sunset lighting :)  I definitely owe you guys some better pictures of these two…

Hey! I love the Sunday Best. And I think your pictures are good too :) Good job sticking with that quilt. Some of these little quilts are kind of hard. Keep it up!

Congratulations on your finishes, I love them both. Anyone who sews knows what it's like to struggle with a pattern or fabric, good for you for working through it, I'm glad you get to keep Mill House Best.

I've not even thought about my block two...maybe this weekend.

The Sunday best quilt looks great! I love the Fig Tree fabrics too! My March Schnibble was Patisserie. My Sunday Best isn't quite finished yet, but I love yours.
