Yesterday I committed to a new group this year, the Charming Girls Quilt Club. I really hope that I can keep up with these ladies…some of them are VERY PROLIFIC QUILTERS!!!!
Here is a rundown of what I would like to accomplish this month:
1. Madeline Schnibbles pattern. I was SO excited yesterday when it was announced, and got to cutting straight away. I’m using the same fabrics from the original, Rouenneries, and it’s going to be gorgeous! Here’s the first block so far:
2. I want to quilt and bind my Cindy Lou Who quilt. This will be quite the feat, as I haven’t quilted very many things…
3. I would like to complete the piecing of a quilt top using a Legacy Jelly Roll. The pattern is Fig Tree Quilts Jelly Girl (picture from www.figtreequilts.com). I started this one a few weeks ago, and boy oh boy, it’s testing my ability for sure. I had to set it aside for a bit.
OK…that just about does it for now, well, for goals anyway.
I do also want to post a picture of another block that I finished last night. Block 7 for the Mystery BOM. I changed this one a bit. Rather than using the two different blue fabrics, I chose to only use the blue tonal. I didn’t like that the tops of the blue portions were in a different fabric…looked weird to me…anywho…
And here’s how they all look together…well, all of the pictures together, anyway!
OK, peeps! I’m off to my dinner…homemade gumbo…yum!

I will not be sucked back in....I will not be sucked back in....I will love that first block!
Your quilting WIPs are making me drool! I'm trying to hold back from pulling out some quilting, but now I see your pictures and the itch is getting really strong. I can't wait to see more especially the Rouenneries one - that fabric is gorgeous.
You are so very talented - I am always amazed at your beautiful work and you always choose such lovely fabric.
Happy New Year, Dianne.
Welcome aboard the CGQC! Those are beautiful projects!
Happy Sewing
Beautiful work. I'm making a snowball quilt using the Rouennieries fabric. Don't you just love it?
GORGEOUS! Your Rouenneries Schnibble is going to be delicious!!! I love your mystery BOMs too and I think that block looks wonderful the way you put it together! Gorgeous!
Wow you have been a busy girl already, I am so behind in the bom blocks, still have to make, 5,6 and 7. I am still in the cutting fase for Madeline.
Great goals! I always look forward to seeing your blocks, quilts and works in progress. I love all the ones you pictured.
So glad to have you joining us -- and wow, what great projects! Love your Block 7, and the Madeline is going to be so pretty! Can't wait to see your Jelly Girl all finished, and your Cindy Lou Who quilted! You Sew Girl!
You have some very beautiful projects you want to stitch.
Your Madeline block looks great! I think you'll enjoy Charming Girls...even when I don't finish everything...it still keeps me motivated to keep going!
Your Cindy Lou Who looks fabulous! I think I missed it during the parade back at the beginning of November because I would have had to gone out and made one in those colors! I can't believe you already have a block made for this month's Schnibble! It looks so crisp and clean! I love it! I can't wait for mine to arrive so I can start working on it too! Good Luck on your January goals!
