Blackbird Freebie finished!
I jumped on this band wagon like 3 weeks ago...but I only finished this design yesterday! Oh well...but I did finish in time for the contest. This the the sampler freebie found here on Blackbird Designs' blog. I definitely had a fun time stitching this one! I personalized it for my favorite great-grandparent...my MaMa. Her name was Merle Mandart, and she was born in 1901. Her favorite color was purple and she loved flowers and had them all over her house. To this day, I still think about her and wish that she could have been around to meet my husband and my children. She would have loved them!

We had a VERY busy weekend, so I was only able to finish this design. Maybe tonight (after I recover from outdoor birthday party!) I will be able to sit down and stitch a little bit before an early bedtime!
Happy stitching!

Patisserie top finished...and birthday gift received!
I finished my Patisserie quilt top (I know...duh...the title told you this!)...and it's BEA.U.TI.FUL. It's a gift for my mother, and she got a chance to see the finished top a few days ago. I'm fairly certain that she likes it ;)

I also received notification that Sheila in SPAIN received the birthday award that I sent to her! My hint was that it was going to be something handmade by me and that it was involving 1 of my 5 addictions that we discussed so many months ago. Well, this is what I made her:
I made this coffee apron...from a SUPER AWESOMELY simple pattern found here... I also sent along a pound of my favorite plasma...I mean coffee (Community Coffee Medium Roast). I put it all in a matching little coffee bag...but I didn't take a pic of that. (Thank you to my sister Susan who modeled this for me).
That's about it for me here. I have been working on THE Blackbird freebie that's flying all over the net, but alas...no camera to take pics with (sidebar...the above pics were taken with MiMi's camera and then emailed to me!). I'm hoping to finish this little chart up and submit it for the contest by Sunday! Fingers Crossed!!!
Happy Stitching...and Happy Weekend to you all!

I promise...I'm still here...and still stitching!
No camera yet...but I do have a few pics that EVENTUALLY I'll be able to show. I took a couple of things along to my Easter weekend with family...just so I could get some pics to post! However, I don't have them yet...but when I do...you know where to look!!
I finished stitching LHN's Liberty and Justice this morning. It was really an enjoyable stitch. It felt different than many LHN's for some reason...maybe because usually there's a giant house or something...? Anyhow...it was really fun, and easy, and it's so cute...and darnit...no pic yet :(
That's about it. I'm home for one last day today, then back to work tomorrow. I'm hoping to get a bit of stitching and sewing done. Aunt Susan (my sister) is here visiting today to help out with Jack, so maybe I'll get more done than I think :)

SAD NEWS
Well...not like tragic or anything...but...
My camera is broken! So...no pics for who knows how long! I'm QUITE sure that my 3 year old had something to do with it's being broken, however!
So...I might pop in with some verbal updates...but unfortunately no pics!

Oops...I switched my days!
I didn't consult my official rotation list, so I worked on LHN yesterday! I will go back to work on my snappers today. I definitely want to make sure to work on them every week, because I enjoyed last week's rotation! I forgot how much I really like that Red Thread design :)
Now for the pics...I started LHN's Liberty and Justice, and this is what it looks like so far:

I'm stitching it on 32ct. Vintage Sea Storm by Lakeside, and I'm using the recommended DMC fibers.
Also, if you're a really serious blog reader of mine, you will have noticed that I updated a finish on my sidebar and didn't post the pic. Well, here's the pic! I finished LHN's Garden Gameboard on Wednesday this week. I. LOVE. IT. It's definitely been a long time coming, and I'm thrilled to have it done. Next little bit of stash money is immediately going to frame this cutie.

Tonight I'm going to work on my snappers, and then I really need to get back to my Patisserie quilt. I've already told my mom that it's for her, so now I guess I need to get to finishing it!

I worked on my little present for some lucky reader last night! Make sure that you leave a comment on the previous post if you want to win.
