Fabulous Award

Thank you Danielle for gifting me with this award! It still amazes me that I get so many lovely comments on my stitching, my blog, and my family! Thanks for makin' a gal feel good :)

The second half of this award is to list your addictions. If you want to see my post about my addictions...click here.

Hope you all had some time to stitch today. I worked a bit on Peppermint Lane today at work. I chose to work on this piece, even though it's Monday and I should have worked on Peppermint Twist, because PL is almost done and I really want to try and get a finish for January 2009! Maybe next post of this one will be a finish :)

Peppermint Lane Update

Just a quick post to show my progress on Peppermint Lane. I had a decent amount of stitching time today, so I was able to get quite a bit done (as compared to other days!).

Happy Stitching!

PIF winners

Well, I'm a day late, but my "decision" was easy, as I had only three commenters to my PIF post. So...big drum roll here...the winners are:

Robin
Valerie
Stitchery Doo

Congrats to all of you! Please email me, through my profile, with your email address, mailing address, and any special requests. Can't make any guarantees...but I'll try to hopefully grant a wish for you at the same time!

Happy stitching to you all! I promise that I'll have some stitchy pics up next post.

Tag...you're it!

I have been tagged by Rowyn to list five addictions...so here goes:

1. Cross stitching (duh!). I love it, spend way to much money on it, and love to talk about it, do it, look at it, etc.

2. Coffee...and not just any coffee...Community Coffee medium roast. I'm a Louisiana girl at heart (always will be, even though I'm "stuck" in Texas right now!). I love my Community. Well, and really, I love my coffee creamer too...so is that another addiction? Sometimes I wonder if I drink coffee just for the creamer...

3. My three boys...my husband and two sons...I am absolutely addicted to these guys! I absolutely love spending time with them. I consider myself the luckiest woman alive, really, because I'm truly spoiled by my husband, and I have the cutest kids around!

4. Gel ink pens...I really don't have an explanation for this one. I don't have a logical reason for liking them, but I really do. I don't even have a favorite brand or anything. I love going down the pen aisle at the store and just looking to see if there's anything new. I could probably supply an entire school student body with at least 1 pen each...it's bad...I know...

5. Singing. I love to sing. I sing in church a few times a month, and I love it. I sing in the car, the shower, you know, all the usual places.
Well, there's just 5 of my addictions...those are probably the biggies. If you feel compelled, go ahead and do this yourself! Let us all know what you're addicted to!

a very little update

Well, I guess now that I'm back to work the updates and the stitching are both going to be few and far between. This week I took Peppermint Twist to work and worked a bit on that one every day...just a wee bit mind you. Here's the progress...
I also started working on With My Needle's Bunnies in the Garden. I recently got this chart at my mom's LNS, and got the fabric on sale at my LNS. Here's my progress so far on the needlebook...
That's about it here. Josh has been out of town all week...well since Tuesday morning...so it's been a bit crazier than normal. I can definitely say that I'm ready for a break when he gets back on Sunday! Thank goodness that I have a three day weekend thanks to good ole MLK day!

I also need to mention that my last post brought in a record number of visitors (and commenters)!! Thank you so much for visiting my little blog. I enjoy reading all of yours too! Happy Stitching!

Still here...kinda...

duh duh duh duh...(to the tune of that Beethoven song that I don't know the name of...maybe the 5th?)...anyway...

I went back to work on Monday, hence my absence. I'm EXHAUSTED! I only have 1 of the 2 boys this week (Nicholas is with MiMi and Pops in Louisiana) and I'm still beat at the end of each day. Well, I guess I better get used to it, huh!

I have a few progress pics (You can click on pictures for close-up views). First up is Peppermint Lane by CCN:
Next is Peppermint Twist by Blue Ribbon Designs (I'm in the SAL on this one):
Next is a picture of my kitted up Quaker Christmas. I've chosen 40 ct. Abecedarian Blend (surprise!) and Gloriana silks...
And next is my kitted up Gilded Dragonfly by Just Nan. The picture don't do this one justice at all...it's PHENOMENAL and the colors are so bright and wonderful...I'm REALLY excited to start this one!
And lastly I'll leave you with a pic of my Baby Jack from just a few minutes ago. Even though mommy leaves him every day now, this is the face that I get to come home to. Makes it worth every minute :)
Happy Stitching! I hope you enjoy every minute that you have today with your family/kids/pets etc.
