My mom took this with her to Baton Rouge to frame this for me, and she just emailed me a pic! I can't wait to get it on Wednesday when they come in town for Thanksgiving!

Jingle Biscornu done!

This seemed to take forever to finish...couldn't be the newborn in the house! Once I got it all stitched and beaded, the "finishing" only took about 1.5 hours to complete...not bad! I did leave off the pearls in the center of the ribbons...just didn't care for them. Oh, and you'll have to excuse the blurry pics...I just wanted to get these up, so my "staging" wasn't the greatest :)

Our house has been the infirmary for the last week. Nicholas was home from school Thursday and Friday because he was sick, and now I've been quarantined to the bedroom all day with some sort of stomach bug :( Thank goodness for wonderful husbands! I've been able to stay in bed basically all day, and all I've had to do was feel Jack. He'll probably be the only one out of all of us to stay well, thanks to the strict diet of breastmilk that he's been getting!

What to do next?

I have so many projects in my head, and I just don't have enough time! I have fabric and floss pulled for three LHN charts, and I haven't decided which one to do next...

Here is my progress on Just Nan Jingle biscornu. I've finished the Over the Top (actual tin), and I'll post a pic of both the tin and biscornu finished together...hopefully by the end of the week!

Also on the project front...I'm going to be making a Christmas table runner out of this charm pack. I bought this last year because I loved the fabrics, and I just decided what to do with it.

This is fabric that I purchased to work on another project...which will stay a secret for now!

The joys of sleeping

Today Jack is 1 month old! He's still waking up about 2-3 times at night, but usually he eats fairly quickly and then goes back down to sleep. Last night he wanted to stay awake more, so I came out into the living room to stay up with him. Just when he was going to sleep, Nicholas walks in the room (keep in mind it's 3 am) and he wants to be held. So, just when I think that I'm going back to sleep, I'm up with the oldest boy. We fell asleep on the couch together for a few hours, and then I was up again at 5 to feed Jack. So, the moral of this story is...Jack has yet to discover the wonderful joys of sleeping for long stretches at a time (well, longer than 2.5 hours at a time!).

I started stitching on Jingle yesterday, and I've finished the stitching for the top of the tin, and I've completed about 1/2 of the beads. I hope to finish the beading today and get it completely "finished" before moving on to the biscornu companion for this one.

Secret Stitching and something new

I have been stitching today, but unfortunately, you can't see any of it! Nope...not even a hint! But I will say that I wish I was the recipient of this, if I do say so myself :)

In my time online today, I have discovered a wonderful new blog. I love quilts, and I have made about 4 in my time, but I wouldn't consider myself a "quilter." This blog is one that I spent about an hour reading today, and I loved every minute. If you want to get some great ideas for simple quilts, and just be inspired...visit this one!

Also, since I'm on the subject of blogs that I enjoy...here's one of my favorite stitching blogs...Carolina Dreams. Nicole is an amazing stitcher, and if you're not already a LHN fan, you will be after visiting her site! I can say that she has influenced some stash buying on more than one occasion for me!

That's about it...and because I don't want to leave this blog completely without pics (that's no fun!) here's my most recent purchase...the Just Nan Jingle Over the Top and In the Tin. Now I have all of the 4 from this year.

I can stitch!

I started the cutest little project yesterday! It's called Sugar and Spice by With thy Needle and Thread. It's so much fun to stitch...and so cute!!! Here's my little bit of progress on it so far...the colors of fabric and threads are pretty true in these pics...very fun!

I also picked up a couple of other new things at the LNS... I love this LHN design, and something about this Santa just wouldn't let me pass him up! He's so whimsical, and he was calling out to me.
Lastly, I leave you with a picture which shows you why I'm able to post right now :)

All secret stitching...

Well, I've been stitching again some the last few days, and I'm loving every minute! I have been stitching on a secret project...which will have to wait to be revealed :) I also started a freebie ornament from Blue Ribbon Designs. It's the NOEL ornament on their website. I'm stitching mine on 36 ct. French Vanilla Swirl from Silkweaver, and using mostly the DMC fibers and only a couple of the overdyeds. Also, take a peek at one of their designs scheduled to be released soon...very cute!

My boys (the oldest two!) had a good time on Halloween. I leave you with a pic of me with both Nicholas and Jack.
Happy Stitching!

Dianne
