A finish and some finishes...

My quickie update as my schedule is a bit different these days! Even though I'm at home full time, I still have no time...I'm not sure how that works...but maybe in the weeks to come Jack and I will be more accustomed to each other and we'll be on a better schedule.

Anyway, I finished Sailing Home, and I think it looks great. My mom has taken it to pin, and to look for a frame for it. I can't wait to have it hanging in Jack's room! Also, I've included some pics of some long ago finishes that are now really, truly finished!

Last but not least...I started "Into the Night" by Shepherd's Bush the week before Jack was born, and haven't picked it up since. I had hoped to have it done for Halloween this year, but seeing as it's two days away...probably won't happen!

Baby Jack is here!!!

Well, there's nothing like early surprises, and babies are the best kind! Jack was born a few days earlier than planned...on Monday, October 13, at 6:36 A.M. He weighed 6 lb. 12 oz. He has been such a blessing already to my little family, and he is an absolute JOY. It's right what they say about your heart just opens up with double the love for every child...a concept that I couldn't quite understand until now!

50th post and baby update...

Well, I don't have really any stitching things to share, but just an update on Baby Jack. I had an ultrasound last Friday, and they estimate he's about 6.5 pounds right now. I'm schedule to have him next Friday (17th) so I'm estimating somewhere in the range of 7.5-8 pounds? Also, I went to the doc today, and my blood pressure is up (shocker!). This happened with Nicholas, so I'm in sort of familiar territory. I've had a headache since late yesterday evening, and I was up last night with nausea and throwing up, so I kind of thought that today might bring the BP news... No bed rest prescribed yet...just required to take it easy when I'm at home (which I'm already breaking that rule by sitting here online!). I can still work, as long as I don't have a headache. At the very least, I hope to make it through this week before I have to take any time off...

Also, this is my 50th post...only took over two years to get 50...that's really sad compared to all of the wonderful blogs that I read out there! So, here's to the next 50 not taking another 2.5 years!
