Anyway, on to the pictures. First I will begin with some family pics. Over the weekend we went to our little downtown area for "Miracle on Morton Street." The downtown strip of about 6-8 blocks is barricaded so that street vendors, food vendors, etc can set up shop. We went Saturday night, and we got to play some kiddie games, sit with Santa, and most exciting of all (according to Nicholas) was that we got to sit in an old fire truck. So, here's a couple of pics from that outing...

Next up is a progress report. I didn't stitch much this weekend, but I did start...yes I said start...on Holly and Berries by LHN. I'm stitching this on 40 ct. Abecedarian Blend by R&R (my all time favorite fabric color) using the recommended fibers.
Next up I have some cute finished finishes :) As I think I've mentioned before, my mom does all of my sewing finishes (pillows, wallhangings, etc.) She used to have a custom drapery workroom, and now she has retired from that and is a full-time MiMi to my boys and a full-time stitcher! When I saw her for Thanksgiving, she brought in a slew of finishes...it was an early Christmas for me :)

Also, I'm going to show you a picture of Jack today...because he's 8 weeks old! My how time flies!
Now, last but certainly not least, I HAVE to show off a finish of my mom's! She started this many months ago, around March or April, I think, and because it's so gorgeous, I just have to share! This is a picture of Quaker Virtues by ByGone Stitches. It is stitched on a Fat Half of 32 ct. Pear linen by Lakeside, and she used Hand-Dyed Fibers by Vicki Clayton. I love the octagonal frame...it's perfect!
Well, that is the end of this massive picture post. Hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did! I do also want to thank some of the new visitors that I have had recently. I love seeing your blogs...many of you inspire me to keep stitching, and you certainly inspire new stash buying!
Happy Stitching to all :)

Your kiddos are adorable :-)
and your Mom's finish is beautiful, love that frame!
Your Mom's QV is beautiful, and I printed out a large copy of her finished piece and have it in the back of my pattern so it keeps me inspired to keep going on mine! I am stitching mine in the colors listed on the pattern, but after I saw your mom's I regretted not getting colors like she did! :) Anyway, just beautiful!!!
Note to self: Grab some coffee and read some of the earlier posts I missed since I just found your blog! WOW! WOW WOW WOW WOW! Your mom is an incredible artist and stitcher. I love everything she did, just beautiful. Your sons are adorable, too.
oh, I found your site from Nicole's site and I will be adding it to my blog list. I love all the finishes and lucky you that you have a talented mom! Love all of your stitching and that baby is adorable!!!
