The joys of sleeping

Today Jack is 1 month old! He's still waking up about 2-3 times at night, but usually he eats fairly quickly and then goes back down to sleep. Last night he wanted to stay awake more, so I came out into the living room to stay up with him. Just when he was going to sleep, Nicholas walks in the room (keep in mind it's 3 am) and he wants to be held. So, just when I think that I'm going back to sleep, I'm up with the oldest boy. We fell asleep on the couch together for a few hours, and then I was up again at 5 to feed Jack. So, the moral of this story is...Jack has yet to discover the wonderful joys of sleeping for long stretches at a time (well, longer than 2.5 hours at a time!).

I started stitching on Jingle yesterday, and I've finished the stitching for the top of the tin, and I've completed about 1/2 of the beads. I hope to finish the beading today and get it completely "finished" before moving on to the biscornu companion for this one.

Well, as Grandpa Ray would say: That is a "pie face." I have never known what that means, but it describes the face that Jack has! SO darn cute. Glad they are MY relatives. I love and miss you and the boys. Can't wait to meet Jack in person.

My kids weren't sleepers either...and when I had the twins, I wanted them to be on the same schedule always so if one would wake I woke the other. I would breastfeed one and bottle feed the other by sitting on the floor. The breastfeeder I would hold and the bottle feeder I would have in his car seat - bottle feeder would get a safety pin on his outfit so that I would know who was the breast feeder for the next go round....I think back on that and wonder how I did it...but I did :) So anyway thats a windy explanation to say "I understand!!!!"

Your baby and boys playing together are SWEET!

I'm looking forward to receiving my JN tin too. I can't wait to stitch it, I have a feeling that it will be my favourite. Yours looks so festive.
